It's so hard to believe that our little dude is already nine months old - it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Everyone says it goes fast... but man, it GOES FAST!
A little 9 month survey:
Stats: 23 lbs, 1 oz (85th percentile). 30.25 inches (95th percentile).
Clothing size: Solidly in 12 months now, wears some 18 month stuff, and fits into a few 9 month things.
Sleep?: Sleeping through the night (hooray!) 8 pm - 8am usually. Naps are pretty good too - he takes one nap a day, around 11:30 am and it usually lasts 2-3 hours.
Verbal skills: He says "mama" and "dada" regularly, and "hi" sometimes. Phil and I swear he said "Ella" once too. He's definitely working on developing more words - lately we've heard a lot of "d" and "t" sounds.
Motor skills: He crawls! FAST! He's also learning to stand (pulls up on all the furniture, the walls, the dogs ;-)) and can stand unassisted if you trick him into it. His fine motor skills seem to be developing too, he's got a great pincher grasp! He's starting to seem interested in waving, and we might have the beginnings of a high five :)
Teeth?: Four (Middle top and bottom)! We think he has a lot more coming in as well - he's showing all the signs.
New and Noteworthy?: Well, Toph has begun to throw tantrums (crying and flailing) if he doesn't get his way. This is... um... fun ;-)

Wireless Power?
Whether or not this is "appropriate" for our family blog is undetermined. But, I digress...
One of my pet peeves is the abundance of wireless chargers we have around the house. My biggest pet peeve, however, is that whenever I'm looking for a specific one it has disappeared into the ether. What if that was OK? What if wireless power to charge all that crap we have existed? Thanks to some researchers at MIT, it has.
